Man breaks into frat house for breakfast

A hungry man was arrested after cooking in the kitchen of a UF fraternity house at 1:30 Thursday morning.

After breaking into two fraternity houses, Gainesville police found Alexis Dominguez in the middle of cooking french fries at the Alpha Tau Omega frat house, 207 SW 13th St. Dominguez identified himself as living at 513 Homeless in Lake City, according to a police report.

Earlier Thursday morning, he broke into the Phi Kappa Tau house, 1237 SW 2nd Ave., by removing an air conditioner and crawling through a window, according to the report.

Dominguez set the smoke alarm off while making eggs and cheese. After he was arrested by GPD, Dominguez, 46, told police he broke into the houses because he was hungry and didn't think he could be charged with a crime.
