The No. 6 UF men's golf team finished the first round of the NCAA Championships tied for last place.
The Gators shot 26 over par on Tuesday, which put them in 29th place, tied with Arizona. Oklahoma State is in first place with a score of 4 over par.
Somehow UF will have to find their way into one of the top eight spots by the end of Thursday's third round, as the field of teams will be cut to eight for the last two rounds. Friday and Saturday's final rounds will be in the format of a match play bracket, in which teams will face each other.
The Gators will begin the second round at 7 a.m. on Wednesday.
