Sex is a never-ending complex. It shouldn't be that complicated, but it is.

When first hooking up with someone, both physical and emotional attraction can let things get hot and horny too fast. And girls are constantly wondering, "When is the right time to sleep with a guy?"

Sleep with him too soon and he could lose interest, having conquered the challenge without even lifting a finger. Wait too long to do the dirty deed and he'll lose interest too quickly. As much as I hate to say it, you've got to play the game right in order to score.

I once had a guy tell me that I'd never given him the chance to chase me; harsh, I know, but so true. Nobody likes to just get what they want right away; where's the fun in that? You have to dangle the bait first.

Upon making an initial connection with someone, sparks fly and you quickly fall in lust, making you both eager to rip off your clothes. If you do it right away, there will be nothing left to go after, no challenge, no surprises left.

And even worse than him losing interest is getting wrapped up emotionally. Everyone knows girls get more emotionally attached than guys do after having sex, and unless your name is Samantha Jones, there's not much you can do about it. In fact, it's been proven that girls have more of the oxytocin hormone - also known as the cuddle hormone - than guys do. It's not our fault we want to spoon up and snuggle after sleeping with you. It's really just a part of who we are.

And though you feel like you won't be able to control your need to sleep with him, think about how much better the sex will be once you've made a real connection. If your feelings are simply bubbling on the surface, the sex could be awkward and insignificant. If you wait until the time is really right, then it will do more than satisfy your craving.

So, how long do you wait? This is where it gets tricky. It definitely comes down to personal preference, but I say that a month is a decent time frame to work around. A month is certainly long enough for you to develop an actual relationship with someone while also letting you feel out whether it's right to have sex with him.

Having sex with the wrong person happens all too often that real, passionate sex doesn't occur as much as it should. If you do your best to control that crazy urge, it'll be more mind-blowing than you could have ever imagined.

And if you're afraid he'll lose interest if you don't do it soon, then screw him - not literally of course - because if he pushes for it before you're actually ready, chances are he doesn't care about you half as much as he should.

But be careful not to be a tease. If you're seeing someone and you keep putting it off because it doesn't feel right, then you probably shouldn't be seeing him anymore. Every guy is after the goods; don't make him wait around for nothing.

So, girls, there you have it. Don't hate the player, hate the game - but don't be afraid to play it.
