Wednesday's letter to the editor stated that marijuana has no benefit to society whatsoever and is extremely dangerous to the public.
The author made the massive jump likening legalizaton of marijuana to allowing everyone to carry guns and letting North Korea and Iran to stockpile nuclear weapons. How does anyone honestly think legalizing or decriminalizing marijuana will lead to a complete breakdown of the policy of the United Nations? Also, if you think kids aren't already getting their hands on pot as they please, you are just naive.
Moreover, marijuana is used medicinally and has clearly been shown in lab tests to significantly help treat and prevent such illnesses as glaucoma and even Alzheimer's Disease. But no, marijuana has no positive uses. I am not saying I am either for or against legalization or decriminalization of marijuana, but rather asking that people please use rational and factual support for their opinions and not absurd leaps in logic and blatant lies.
Maybe think for yourself and do some research instead of just adopting the "Above The Influence" commercials as your personal belief system.
