I received an e-mail Thursday afternoon from Dr. Creed Greer, assistant program director of the University Writing Program, informing me that due to a "scheduling error," the Writing for Pre-Law section I registered for nearly a week and a half ago was closed and would not be held in the fall.
This is overwhelmingly frustrating as this "scheduling error" has thrown a wrench into my and many others' plans.
Dr. Greer may think an e-mail and a suggestion of other sections to take is enough, but it is not. Someone's incompetence in scheduling sections for the fall is leaving a handful of pre-law students high and dry two weeks into registration, left with only a sub-par selection of composition courses. If I were trying to graduate in December, I would be livid.
