In yesterday's letter, Gator Party Leader Jonathan Fager claimed public debate was used by the minority to delay meetings of the Senate, giving an excuse to his party's efforts to cut off the public's voice.

He seems to have forgotten the public debate period two weeks ago was actually used by concerned students who came to oppose what was really wasting the Senate's time: the Gator Party's attempt to remove minority party rights.

The Gator Party and Senate President Jordan Johnson submitted six pieces of legislation at that meeting designed to limit minority protections in Senate.

The Gator Party has voted to cut off debate on almost every bill that has come before the Senate this semester. Now they are trying to silence the voice of the public as well.
