While I fully understand everyone's complaints concerning the new Ticketmaster system, I would like to compliment the University Athletic Association on one aspect of the system. Thank you for using the voucher system (as was used for the National Championship) requiring students who buy tickets to actually go to the game or lose their money. I am sick and tired of seeing UF students sell tickets for two or three times the face value on Facebook Marketplace for the Georgia and FSU games.
The vouchers ensure only real fans get tickets to games and not people who clog up the already overly clogged system only to steal money from other poor students as soon as they the chance.
Personally, I was a little slow getting tickets for the Southeastern Conference Championship, but I'm at least glad the student section will be filled with real fans who paid a fair price while I watch from Gainesville.
