To me, being a Gator means going to every game in orange and blue, applauding our team and loudly booing the opposing team for even thinking it had a chance to survive entering our Swamp. I let them know this during every offensive drive, even after my throat is sore.
I believe this is my responsibility as a Gator because I love our team.
When I was told that I would have even a minute chance of going to the Southeastern Conference Championship, I immediately planned to camp out in front of my computer to await the exact second I could continue to show my support and cheer on our team to victory.
I knew it was a slim chance, but it was my responsibility to try. Plus, I had hope - hope in a fair chance.
I waited, and to my surprise and jubilation, I got through to place my order, but I could not select the U.S. as my country.
I went back and lost everything in doing so. Just like that, my ticket was placed in front of me and removed as I reached for it. It was a sick joke. I was cheated in the worst way - by false hope and false promise.
I demand justice and accountability of Ticketmaster. For its deceit, it should no longer be allowed to sell us our right to cheer for our team in person, which is the right of every Gator.
