Playing its second game in as many days wasn't much of a problem for UF on Monday night.

Despite overmatching Savannah State (2-3) and coming away with a 75-55 win, the Gators (4-1) weren't satisfied with the way they played.

Maybe that's a good thing.

"It's a great statement of where our program is right now when we can win a game by 20 points and feel disappointed about it," UF coach Amanda Butler said.

"We know that tonight's effort is far short of what we were capable of."

The win came just a day after defeating rival and then-No. 22 FSU in Tallahassee by 15.

The Gators mixed up lineups enough so that fatigue wasn't a big factor against the Tigers.

This marked UF's fourth win in eight days, all of the victories coming by 15 or more.

"It's going to be nice to have a day off tomorrow, I'll tell you that. Well, they have a day off," Butler said with a laugh.

Sha Brooks, who was named Southeastern Conference Player of the Week on Monday, finished the game with 13 points.

She got hit in the face and was shaken up in the first half on a collision and had to leave the game, but she re-entered with about 1:35 left in the half and came out firing in the second half, going 3 of 4 from three-point range.

"I'm good. I'm tough," Brooks said.

Sharielle Smith carried the Gators in the first half, hitting clutch threes when the score was getting closer.

She finished with 15 points and nine rebounds on the night, just shy of a double-double.

Ndidi Madu was the highlight off of UF's bench. Madu added 11 points and had eight rebounds.

The Gators continued to keep pace defensively. They recorded 19 steals after entering the game with a season-total of 24 steals.

It's a good sign for the Gators that they are well-conditioned, considering they will play two games in two days in the Bahamas later this week.

But no matter whom UF faces, Butler wants to see the same intensity from her team.

"We've got to play to the level of our expectations regardless of who we are playing," Butler said. "We can't just play our best basketball when we're playing someone fun like Florida State."
