I've been hearing it for quite some time now.
It started as a murmur but has snowballed into a frenzy. Slowly The Swamp's unquestionable distinction as being the most feared stadium in the country is being taken from us. By whom, you might ask? Look no further than our visiting opponents this weekend. Night games at LSU's Death Valley are being revered as the loudest, craziest and most difficult setting to play in.
Case in point: Our ranking as the toughest stadium to play in on EA Sports' "NCAA Football" - a perch we've held for three years - has fallen to second behind Death Valley in the game's 2009 edition.
We should take this personally, not just as fans, but as the 12th man on that field. This is a call to arms, fellow Gator fans. This Saturday, we have the opportunity to show LSU just how tough a night game can be. Fear The Swamp, Tigers.
