A man was arrested Tuesday after a scuffle with a police officer in the parking garage of the Women's Center at North Florida Regional Medical Center.
A witness said he saw Luis Gabriel Quinones, 19, going through a purse, a report stated.
Quinones told police the purse belonged to his mother and that his sister was having a baby at the hospital, but another woman said the purse was hers and had been in her car, the report said.
According to the report, when police tried to arrest Quinones, he struck an officer and grabbed at his gun belt. When arrested and placed in the police car, he began to yell insults and threats, the report said.
GPD spokeswoman Summer Hallett said police found items missing from two other cars in Quinones' car.
