Southeastern Conference coaches picked UF's women's cross country team to finish second in the league and the men's team to finish fourth, according to the 2008 SEC Cross Country Coaches' Poll released on Wednesday.
The women's team picked up two first-place votes, with only Arkansas receiving more. Tennessee, Georgia and Kentucky rounded out the women's top five. The men's team was ranked behind Alabama, Arkansas and Auburn.
Both teams will open their seasons next Saturday in the Mountain Dew Invitational at the UF Golf Course.
