As a Senate candidate for the Gator Party, I am proud to claim that we are the party that supports sustainability.
Our impact on the environment is now a major concern of the student body, the University Administration and the City of Gainesville, and rightfully so.
We will work tirelessly for a greener campus by making efforts in reduced energy consumption, expanding recycling systems and promoting student use of bicycles. The Orange and Blue Party does not address these concerns at any point in its platform, which is evidence of the party's lack of focus and environmental consciousness.
I have fought for an eco-friendly campus as director of environmental concerns for the Inter-Residence Hall Association, and I can assure you the Gator Party will do the same.
