My sex life is a constant roller coaster. And apparently it can cause a few bumps when dealing with family.

Two weeks ago I thought I was about to hit the Sheikra of all drops with my parents.

Parental sex talks in my family are usually avoided due to their uncomfortable nature and high tension rates. Much to my liking, my parents were under the assumption that I was a saint (a virgin), and they would have stayed under that assumption if it weren't for snooping younger siblings who had managed to broadcast my writings.

Right there on my laptop, my "secret" writings were revealed. Watching my parents read about my one-nighters, late-nights romps and public escapades with their shocked and confused faces while I screamed about sexploration in my defense was difficult to say the least.

I thought their reality check would have caused a violent attack or my removal from the Anthony family tree, but to my surprise, they received the information well. They were understanding and saw my writing as a positive outlet.

It brought us closer; we talked about some of my adventures in more detail, and they gave me sound advice to guide me on my future sexual endeavors. They told me not to get pregnant and to stay true to myself.

Cheesy and redundant, I know, but while the first part is important, the second part really stuck. I realized that it's vital to really know who you are, in more than just a sexual sense.

Sex can land you in some wild situations, but it's a part of you, and you shouldn't be ashamed of it.

My parents accepting my freaky ways was a surprise at first, but it's all that they could have done because I am secure with myself and my sexual decisions. And while I owe allegiance to my parents, I don't have to live the same lifestyle. I am very happy being me, and sometimes that means stripping down and having fun.
