For Harn Museum of Art visitors, Wonderland may no longer be an imaginary realm.
The museum's newest exhibit, "Almost Alice: New Illustrations of Wonderland by Maggie Taylor," consists of 45 digital prints that follow the story line of Lewis Carroll's "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland."
The exhibit opens today.
Taylor, a UF graduate who lives in Gainesville, used Adobe Photoshop to digitally layer 19th century photographs with pictures she drew of the novel's characters.
Taylor used images of Victorian girls to represent Alice.
Her prints will be published, alongside the story's text, in a new version of the 1865 novel to be released in August.
"It's not just cutting-edge in terms of digital technique but is also accessible to a broad audience of young people," said Tom Southall, the museum's photography curator.
The exhibit is free and will be on display until Oct. 19.
