Grab your cowboy hats and blue suede shoes, Gators.
Jon Reep, the winner of the fifth season of NBC's "Last Comic Standing" and the self-proclaimed "best redneck dancer since Elvis," will perform his family-friendly, southern-themed comedy act at this year's 85th annual Gator Growl, according to a Wednesday news release.
This year's Homecoming event, titled Gator Growl: Road to the Swamp, will be held Oct. 24, the night before the Gators football team takes on the University of Kentucky.
Reep said in the release that he is excited to be at this year's Gator Growl, which is billed as the largest student-run pep rally in the world.
"To be in the company of the great comedians who have performed at this legendary event in past years is a huge honor," Reep said.
Reep has had many television and movie appearances, including Comedy Central's "Premium Blend" and the movie "Harold & Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay."
His performance will cost $25,000, according to Gator Growl spokeswoman Kelly Ann Packard.
This will be the first time the North Carolina native performs at UF.
