Floridance, UF's student-run dance company, invites the community to get "Caught in the Movement" and get caught doing a good deed on Sunday.
The group will hold its spring showcase at the Phillips Center at 7:30 p.m. Admission is free, and audience members are asked to bring canned food for Compassion in Action Pantry, a local food bank.
Julie Nelson, a UF accounting junior and Floridance publicity chair, said Sunday's show would feature a diverse selection of dance styles, such as jazz, modern and tap.
Nelson said the show's title, "Caught in the Movement," is modeled after a similar line in Kanye West's song "Stronger," which is featured in the opening number.
The performance will probably last less than two hours, so it will be a good study break for most students, she added.
The show will feature 13 pieces choreographed by student members and two guest performances, she said.
