SFCC student, others busted for cocaine possession

An SFCC student and two 21-year-old men were arrested early Thursday morning for possession of cocaine when their car was pulled over by a University Police Department officer.

Christopher Narusas, 20, was also charged with possession of liquor by a person under the age of 21 because the officer saw him with an opened bottle of vodka between his legs.

The driver of the car, Constantin Artzibushev, was pulled over on the 300 block of Southwest 13th Street around 3 a.m. for driving at 43 mph in a 30-mph zone.

Because Artzibushev had a work permit only restriction on his license, he was arrested for a moving traffic violation.

Upon searching the car, the officer discovered 1.4 grams of cocaine in the driver seat's rear pocket, as well as powder residue on the gear shifter.

All three men denied ownership of the drugs, though Narusas did claim the vodka.
