UPD arrests man with stolen gun on UF campus

University Police Department officers arrested Kevin D. Bradshaw, 19, on UF's campus at Fletcher Drive and University Avenue after finding he had a stolen gun.

Officers pulled over a car driving on University Avenue Saturday night because the driver and passenger were not wearing seat belts, according to a UPD arrest report.

While one officer was filling out a citation, the driver of the car told another officer that he had two guns in his glove compartment.

The officers temporarily handcuffed the men, got the guns from the car and discovered that one had been stolen.

Bradshaw, who is from Gainesville, told police he owned the gun but did not know the name of the person he had gotten it from, the report stated.

Bradshaw was charged with felony larceny.
