McCarthy ignores historical evidence

Today Accent will host James McCarthy, a historian who denies the Armenian genocide despite overwhelming evidence. As a student, I understand the importance of learning about an issue from both sides of the argument.

However, McCarthy blatantly ignores overwhelming historical and scholarly evidence and engages in severely selective scholarship that grossly distorts history.

As noted by renowned genocide scholar Deborah Lipstadt, the denial of genocide is not an "act of historical reinterpretation." It is simply the attempt to convince others that there is another side of the story when there is not.
