Machen's endorsement troubling

UF President Bernie Machen is in no way obligated to keep his politics to himself.

What the students and faculty of Florida should question, however, is his endorsement of a candidate who advocates teaching creationism in public schools, encourages a continuing war in Iraq, considers singing "Bomb Iran" at a campaign stop witty, is rated low for his support of civil rights by the NAACP, votes against protecting homosexuals from discrimination and supports a state ban on gay marriage. Considering his endorsement of these positions, it is the judgment, wisdom and integrity of your college president that should be questioned.
