No one wants to go to class on Wednesday. If you can find us one person who does, we'll eat a copy of today's Alligator.

Why doesn't UF just cancel Wednesday's classes? A lot of teachers already cancel them, so why not do it across the board? If you're one of those students who has to drive five hours to get home to Miami, you've probably decided to skip your classes anyway.

And if you have to take a plane home, well, you might already be gone. Even though Winter Break is just around the corner, very few people want to be alone on Thanksgiving. Some schools get the whole week off. What's wrong with UF giving us one extra day?

If UF built an extra day off into the calendar, we think everyone would be happier. Faculty and staff would have more time to spend with their families or roast a 20-pound turkey.

Students would have an extra day to eat, take care of appointments, sleep or, ahem, study. If you can find us one person who isn't dangerously behind on schoolwork, we'll eat a copy of tomorrow's Alligator.

Plus, we're driving back to Gainesville early for Saturday's football game. Our moms will kill us if we aren't home for at least 48 hours.
