UF's decision to postpone Kevorkian's talk is so reactionary. What message is this sending? Maybe we are being punished, and the powers-that-be do not have the confidence that we can listen to some old geezer speak about death without asking some pointed questions.
Or maybe UF does not have the confidence in the ability of its police force to restrain itself at the sight of students asking questions.
Maybe the answer is not to postpone the talk, but to forbid any police from attending if they cannot behave themselves in public.
