Thanks for being so one-sided about the protest. Maybe the Alligator should do its homework before reacting so quickly as well.
First of all, SDS wasn't asking where our tuition money goes - we know quite well how to find that information online. What we were asking was where all the money handled by the UF Investment Corporation is going. We're also well aware of the fact that the UFICO and the UF Foundation are 501.3(c) organizations (I assume you know what that means) and thus aren't obliged to release spending records. But since the donations go to us, we should at least know how that money is being spent.
As far as protesting goes, don't think we haven't tried other methods. We have made phone calls and sent letter after letter to Machen and the Alligator. But it seems like the only way we can get you to write about us is to make theatrical asses out of ourselves.
So thanks a lot for putting in the time to understand what we were trying to accomplish for us and you. We'll try to keep quiet from now on and leave the protesting to our ancestors.
