The fourth suspect in a five-person August home invasion was arrested Monday. He thought he was going to buy weed but allegedly ended up being a part of the crime.

Cameron Hardy, 30, of Gainesville, was the most recent arrest for the robbery at The Niche Student Apartments, at 4000 SW 37th Blvd., according to a Gainesville Police report.

The men previously arrested were Derion’te Tre-Sean Robinson, 19, of Gainesville; Justin Bradley Ramer, 21, of High Springs; and Kenny Keon Hall, 22, of Gainesville, the report said. One suspect is still unknown.

When police arrested Hardy, he told them he went to the apartment complex to buy weed, but when he got there, he saw Ramer put on a mask and the rest of the group pull out guns.

In August, the five suspects tried to steal weed from a person at the apartments, the report said. When a man answered, Robinson forced his way inside holding a gun.

After stealing the man’s Xbox, the group realized that they were stealing from the wrong person, the report said. Then, Robinson put the gun to the back of his head and walked him to his roommate's room and pushed his way inside, demanding cannabis.

The roommate said he did not have any, the report said. Robinson fired his gun, but didn’t shoot anyone.

Hardy was charged with home invasion robbery with a firearm and false imprisonment, the report said.

Hardy remained in the Alachua County Jail Tuesday in lieu of a $300,000 bond.
