A woman was arrested Sunday after entering a Gainesville resident’s house through a doggy door and drinking four bottles of wine.
Police found Linda Lee Litza, 50, in the backyard of Patricia Litza’s home at about 6:30 p.m., according to a Gainesville Police arrest report.
As of press time, it is unclear whether there is any relation between Linda and Patricia. Patricia declined to comment on the incident.
Earlier in the day, at about 4 p.m., Linda entered the home through a doggy door in the backyard and began drinking four bottles of wine, according to the report. When police first arrived at the residence, located at 1604 NW 20th Way, they couldn’t find Linda. According to the report, Linda later returned to the house — which she has been trespassed from since May 8 — with a broken wine bottle.
After her arrest, Linda told police she knew she was trespassing and admitted to entering the house through the doggy door, according to the report.
Linda faces charges of petit theft, burglary of dwelling and trespassing after warning, according to the report.
On Monday afternoon, Linda was released from the Alachua County Jail on her own recognizance.
