Those who decided against Fest because of the cost, probably saw the $60 pass price and said "no, thank you."
But there are a couple of ways to enjoy fest for far less money or even for free.
There are four free line ups during the weekend, one a day at Flaco's, a Cuban bakery downtown, and one in the Reitz Union on UF campus on Saturday. A review of each line up will be posted by Friday afternoon, so check back.
If you have some money, but don't want to lay down every cent you made strumming on the street corner then check out the individually priced shows. If you take a pay and stay approach, $30 will get you many of the best shows at fest.
Individual tickets are sold on a walk-up basis and there are a limited number of tickets for each venue. The most popular, medium-sized venues, such as The Atlantic and Common Grounds, often sell out as soon as doors open. If you want to get tickets ($15-$20), you'll have to get in line and be one of the first ones inside.
On the other hand, tickets at The Venue ($20), which houses main stage, often don't sell out until later in the evening as organizers have allotted 100 walk-up tickets.
Reviews of the best line-ups for buying individual tickets will also be posted soon.
For those still looking for Fest passes, as of Wednesday night they are no longer being sold On line. A few local venues, including Video Rodeo on University Avenue, still have them for $60 until Thursday evening. On Friday, pass prices will be raised to $80. Orginzers said on Wednesday that they have a greater surplus this year than in previous years.
